Q. Please introduce yourself to our readers

Greetings! I am Jean-Michel Lenegre, but you may call me Michael. I am a Canadian citizen from my father, and a French citizen from my mother. I lived most of my life in France, so my English language isn’t so good and I apologize. I studied 6 years in a French University and am graduate in history and in economy’; I worked about 15 years in a major insurance company. Then I decided to found my own company with a friend, Luigi Tomasini who is a real magician about money! Luigi is living in Northern America, and together we created Bastion Investments Inc. in which I care about the administrative, juridical and financial part, as Luigi cares about investing.

Q. What is your position in E-Bastion?

I am the founder of the company, and especially care about the administrative, juridical and financial aspects.

Q. Can you tell us more about E-Bastion? How it works?

First of all, Bastion Investments Inc. was registered in 2005, without any online program. We invested “traditionally”, with a quite high “entry ticket” at $100,000 to invest with us. Frankly speaking, it was going well but later, mid-2006, we thought “And why we wouldn’t open an online investment program with a small entry-ticket, to allow smaller investors to make profit with us!”. The decision was quickly taken, and we setup a team that will work on the E-Bastion program; we decided to offer our investors the possibility to withdraw their funds at any time, really. That is the reason why we also decided to update our investors’ accounts every hour, so that they can really make profit until the last hour when they decide to withdraw their funds. Then we hired a programmer and a web-designer to create our website, and we at least opened the e-bastion online program in August 2006.

The E-Bastion funds are managed by the 3 traders of Bastion Investments Inc. These people also manage the Bastion Investments Inc. funds, they in fact don’t see the difference, unless the E-Bastion funds come by e-gold, so we have to sell e-gold to receive money. That is a bit more expensive that direct investments, as we lose about one day to sell gold and receive the money, and we pay a fee to the companies that buy our gold. That is one of the reasons why the E-Bastion profit is a bit smaller than the Bastion Investments Inc. profit.

Funds are invested in 2 ways:
* For startup companies, we sometimes invest directly. When a newborn company needs some funds to begin to work, or needs new more funds to extend, we generally invest funds directly. We also can invest through larger investment companies, or banks by purchasing shares.

* Through larger investment companies or banks, when we want to invest into large companies. For example we invest part of our funds into Microsoft, we don’t send a check directly, but operate through our bank!

A basic thing is that we never have more than 10% of our funds, into one company. That limits the risk in case a company we invest in, gets in trouble.

How do we generate profit? Like everybody that invests on any market! We diversify of course, but quite always in high-tech domains. We think that investing into the future covers a large part of the risk that is inherent to any kind of investment.

Our program is unique, for a few reasons:
* First of all, we are a real company. It seems strange to say this, as it should be a basic point, but looking at all the “investment programs” that are online, it becomes finally an important point

* Our software is unique; we didn’t buy it for $100 or $200, we hired a programmer to create it.

* And, more important, we offer high but realistic profit. We are sorry to not be able to offer 20% by day or 200% by month, we offer what we can offer. We redistribute 85% of the Bastion Investments Inc. profit, to our Investors. And we keep 15% for our Company.

Q. Could you tell us about E-Bastion team? How many people are there in it? Who are they?

We are 14 people in Bastion Investments Inc. The online program (e-bastion) is managed by:
Steve Forestier, 45, a HR specialist. He worked in Africa a few years for oil multinationals and coordinates the e-bastion program.

Doug Bonnaventure, 40, is our marketing manager, and his task in e-bastion is to find the places to advertise - and the places to NOT advertise!

Tim Yang, 33, is in charge of the e-bastion support team. Suzy Lenhaardt, 35, and Alan Forestier (Steve’s brother), 37, are Tim’s assistant in the support team.

Lena Marcuso, 27, is our programmer and website manager. We also have a part-time Technician.

Q. Are you a licensed business? If so, where is your company registered? Can you prove it?

Yes we are a legal company. We registered in 2005 in the Republic of Seychelles. The copy of our Certificate of Incorporation is available on our corporate website, and we can send a full package of documents as I explain below. We also publish on our website the contact details of the Attorney who registered the Company, people can check if they want so.

As any legal company, we will publish a report of the E-Bastion operations at the beginning of 2007. More “proofs” can maybe be sent on request, but it depends of what people will ask, and who are the people that ask. We will for sure not send to anybody a copy of our bank accounts, nor detailed documents about where exactly and how much we invest, as this is a confidential information.

Concretely we will send a package of notarized copies of documents, including passport and utility bill, to people who can bring us new Investors, and under reciprocity, for example managers of Investment Clubs. We will ask that they duly identify themselves, by sending a copy of their ID too, and a NDA. This will be discussed privately.

Q. Is your contact data real? Can people make phone call to you in real time? Do you have office?

Q. How long do you plan to stay online? What are your goals with E-Bastion?
We have no plan to not stay online! We are a company, and no company as far as I know, has plans to leave!
Our goals are to allow “small” investors to “participate in the future” as I like to say, and in the same time to make profit! Participate in the future, as they will invest in very exciting new technologies. For example we are now investing more funds in nano-technologies! There is an incredible potential here! And to do so, no need to invest hundreds of thousands dollars! From $50, you may participate with us!

Q. What makes your program interesting to investors? How people can trust you?
First of all, we are a real company that existed before going online. We have some background and result in investing! Trust is something hard to get, especially in the online jungle! But with time, we know that we will be more and more trusted.
Our program is interesting because from only $50 you make make profit; because we are REAL; because we have PASSION about what we are doing, and PASSION about making profit and making you make profit!
Of course, we cannot offer 200% a week, we are sorry of this! But better is a middle-high profit of 40%/50% a month during a long time, than a promised 200% a week… and nothing at the end!

Q. We read that E-Bastion accepts Bank Wire, which is not common in a program nowadays. How is this process made?
Accepting bank wires IS common for programs run by REAL and LEGAL companies. So, we do accept bank wires, from $15.000. For small amounts, e-gold is more convenient.
There is a strict process to invest by bank wires, due to anti money laundering regulations; we ask a notarized copy of the Sender’s passport, and a notarized letter from the Sender, attesting that the funds do not come from criminal activity, according to the Law of the Republic of Seychelles. Such a letter must be sent before any wire, with the mention of the exact amount that will be sent to be invested.

Q. How strong is your Marketing plan in E-Bastion?
We carefully select where we advertise. We receive every day between 5 and 10 offers of advertising and “monitoring”. About “monitoring”, our policy is to not pay to be monitored. We of course need to advertise to be known, as any company. We have selected some sites to display banners. We usually test one month, then if the number of new Investors is weak (or equals 0!) we stop advertising on this website. After a few months we already know which website brings us new Investors. We were surprised to see that the most expensive (and “famous”…) are not the most interesting about advertising.

Q. We read that your desicion to advertise in a site is depending on some parameters like ranking of the website, what kind of ranking? Google (pagerank)? Why?
Google is not the only rating tool, we also look at Alexa. But the biggest factor is our feeling. We have a guy in our team who is an expert to detect the good places to advertise! He sometimes fails, but generally is right.

Q. What security features are implemented on your company’s website?
First, all transactions between any visitor and our 3 sites are encrypted. It means that none, even the visitor’s ISP, is able to see what is sent from/to our servers.
Security on the users side: Accounts are protected by a login (an email address, that can be false as we do not send any email verification), a password and a 4 digits PIN code. To enter the account, the Investor needs the login and the password. Then, to do any operation, he needs the PIN code. As an additional security measure, we ask the Investor to select a “secrete question” and a “secrete reply”, that will help us to identify him for any kind of problem.

All transactions between the Investors and the server are encrypted, it means that nobody is able to read the login, password, PIN code nor anything, during the connections.
Security on the server side: As the accounts are updated every hour, all the files are backed-up every hour too. The backup file is then encrypted, and sent to another server we own. All clients’ requests, especially payment requests, are also encrypted and mirrored to our second server.

Payment requests are nor managed automatically: When an Investor requests a payment, his request is first checked to see it is a “legal” one, with the account’s history. If all is right, it is encrypted and sent to our second server. Then, assuming we have enough e-gold available, it is automatically processed after a variable delay (from 1 minute to 120 minutes). Then, the second server updates the account files on our public server.

If we haven’t enough e-gold in our account, the server sends a message to the online Support Team and queues the payment request. If the requested amount is small, the payment is automatically processed as soon as we receive e-gold into our account. For larger amount, we manually transfer some gold from our reserve account, then the payment is processed.

The problem is that as we sell the gold coming from our Investors to invest the money, we have to anticipate about the volume of gold we will need for the payments. It is not always easy, especially as we are just at the beginning of the program, we have no experience about it. That explains that larger amounts (Generally over $3000) can be delayed for some hours.
Back about security! We build our system so that, even if our public server (where the e-bastion.com domain is hosted) would be hacked, we have a fresh copy of all the accounts on another server that nobody knows. All critical codes are on this second server, so our Investors’ accounts are S-A-F-E! Moreover, we host the e-bastion.com and the e-bastion.be (Support) on 2 different servers, located on different networks, and hosted by different companies. In case one of them fails, all can be transfered very quickly on the second, time to fix the problem.
We also have some monitoring programs that check that our public servers are online, and check the integrity of pages and scripts. But I won’t elaborate here, as it concerns the security “in deep” of our program.
For the record, I add that some people try to cheat our system by sending us Italian Lires or Spanish Pesetas. Then they hope they will receive the same numerical amount in USD. They are losing their time

Q. What do you think about eTalkMoney.com, and eTalk Network in general?
I didn’t know before you wrote, sorry! Well, my first feeling is that it looks professional. One very good point is that it loads quickly, without aggressive 10-banners-blocks everywhere! I wish you all the best in your business!
