GladiatorSurf: What’s going on?

Date October 24, 2006

Lots of people today are wondering what is happening with GLadiatorSurf?! For those of you who have not been following up here is a brief review of what has been going on since the problem appeared till today.

After three months of its launch, the program fell behind and was several days late for the payments of the 3rd of October. This caused lots of the members to worry, especially that the admin did not appear on the forums to assure the users.

However, many people related this delay to the problem that hit Philippines.

Almost 200 dead (official 184 dead, 46 missing, and 536 reported injuries). Crop damage over $25 million (US$) this is Agriculture alone. This does not cover the 117,000 homes destroyed. The more than 15000 people still housed in emergency evac centers. Flood damage, water contamination, and illness that will more than likely follow.

This explanation seemed to be logical enough.

Then, the site was moved to the “on hold” section. At the same time, some MMg members mentioned they were receiving updates from GSII admin.

Hello all,
As you all know my area has recently been hit by typhoon “Milenyo.” You may check the weather reports if you wish to verify. This typhoon has majorly screwed with my schedule due to the inconsistency of the electricity and internet connection.
I have been in this industry for quite sometime now and I know that there is no excuse good enough for most members especially when payments are delayed. Delayed payments are always seen as a “red flag” and once that occurs a domino effect happens. As an admin I cannot stop that domino effect because it’s a natural reaction for members and it’s simply the nature of this business. I know and understand that the word “patience” doesn’t exist in this industry so I will not even dare mention it. However, although delayed payments are being made and I will continue as I always have.

Thank you
Michael

Although Michael (ie GSII admin) did not appear on the forum for a while, another message from him was posted by some MMG member on Oct. 19th saying

Hello all,
In my last update I mentioned that no excuse is ever good enough for AS/Hyip members especially regarding late payments which is the reason I did not push the issue regarding my current situation. I did continue to make payments regardless of how late they were and I will continue to do so. However, I have been made aware that the “haters” and “trolls” have surfaced from their caves and are causing havok once again. As you all know these people don’t help the current situation at all and only make things worse. With that said, I will still continue to make payments as funds come in regardless of how late they may be.

Michael

However the message itself did raise some more questions:

My question is: Why state that you will still continue to make payments “as funds come in” regardless of how late they are when the original problem was that you were unable to make payments regularly due to the typhoon limiting your internet service? Are we facing a financial problem or an internet problem?

Then, some MMG members started mentioning that they got paid for the 3rd of October. However, lots of anger and doubts seemed to be in the air even though the payments of the 3rd of October were finally completed (around 4 days after due). Some people thought that since everybody was getting paid, the thread had to be returned to its original place.

Then, users started mentioning they were paid for Oct. 4th after 12 business days. You can check for a proof here.

This was the last date anyone has reported being paid for. To the moment of writing this post, the admin had not appeared to assure the users and no furhter payments were mentioned. All we coud find on the site was:

October 3rd payments have been completed.

This post was intended to be a review of what was going on lately. I did not mean to suspect anybody’s intentions but we have to be careful of any paid posters. Yet, Michael has his reputation in the autosurf industry and might appear in the coming days to resolve the problem.

After my thorough study, I can say that the site is still on hold because it is paying outside its TOS. What might happen next? Well, only the coming days can tell!
